Our Unique paired Testing approach
Our focus is on creating an excellent user experience for the end user. To accomplish this for people with disabilities, we pair sited and non-sited QA engineers. The sited engineers focus on using accessibility inspectors, color-contrast testing, and multimedia tests for the hearing impaired. Non-sited QA Engineers focus on functional testing, using screen magnifiers, screen readers and performing keyboard-only tests. This combination ensures that websites and documents are thoroughly tested, but also tested from the actual perspective of a person with disabilities.
Document Accessibility
Most companies have plans for website accessibility, but not for document accessibility. If you publish documents to end users in a variety of formats, it is equally important to make these accessible. WeBuildLearning's process of document accessibility includes:
- Converting all file formats to PDF
- Adding document metadata
- Adding and Editing tags to reflect document structure
- Adding ALT text to images and charts
- Ensuring correct tag order
- Ensuring correct reading order
- Adding bookmarks
- Testing character encoding
- Fixing any tables, forms or page structure issues related to accessibility
